SPF's // The lowdown

Hello again,

I am going on holiday with my friends soon to Faliraki, I am super excited and sun worshiper to sun worshiper I thought I would share with you what SPF's I have chosen to take with me. I will openly admit that being tanned is one of by favourite things ever and when I am on holiday I am practically glued to a sunbed (not even ashamed). In previous years I probably haven't taken the best care of my skin on holiday, never burning or anything but not choosing the sun tan lotions best suited to my skin. Now I am older and wiser and feel that I should make the effort to take better care of my skin.

I have always suffered with prickly heat every summer holiday for as long as I can remember. It is irritating itchy and quite frankly embarrassing and I have made it my mission to prevent this from happening again. I have read up about it and decided that an allergy sun tan cream would probably be my best bet as one of the causes of prickly heat is your skin reacting with your sun tan lotion. I have chosen a completely fragrance free one by Uvistat. This stuff is usually about £15 a bottle in places like Boots but I found it in savers for just £2.99!!!! (insane, I know).

For my face I have chosen the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream as this is sort of like a tinted moisturiser with an SPF 20 in. I thought this would be great as it would give a little bit of coverage which is much needed with the way my skin is looking right now.

I have also been cheeky and bought a Malibu dry oil spray which is only for my legs as they never suffer irritation just to top up my tan for the last few days (naughty I know but I couldn't resist).

Then for after the sun has gone down I have chosen the Piz Buin tan intensifier after sun. As you can imagine after seeing the words tan instensifying, it was immediately thrown in the basket. This stuff has some special ingredient which is meant to speed up the pigments which tan to make you browner quicker, sounds fabulous right? I am really excited to try this and I am really hoping it works.

Let me know if you are going on holiday anywhere! Also if you suffer prickly heat like me and have found a solution please let me know, I would really appreciate it!

I will let you know whether the fragrance free lotion does the trick or not and obviously how my holiday goes, although I am certain it will be fabulous!

If you enjoyed this then please follow me on Bloglovin' I would really appreciate it.

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet

Hello Everyone,

Yet again I have purchased a product which I probably (definitely) didn't need but after all the fabulous things I had read about it after it's recently release I just could not resist. I bought it on a recent trip to boots (click here for the haul) and it is the Bourjois rouge velvet edition lips in Hot Pepper.

I am in love with the formula of this! It literally does feel like velvet when you apply it, which made me think it would slide off the lips quite easily but that isn't the case at all. It dries fairly quickly to a matte texture but it isn't drying and once it has dried it truly is there to stay.

I am always a bit reluctant to wear a red lip as it looks fab at the beginning of the day and just a bit lack lustre by the end. With this however I would be completely comfortable wearing this and confident that it would still look just as great by the end of the day.

I am really keen to try some of the other shades from the range, in particular Pink Pong. I really am super impressed with this product and I do feel that the hype surrounding this product is completely justifiable, it surpassed my expectations.

Follow me on bloglovin, twitter and instagram to see what I am up to.

Until next time,

What I got for my Birthday

Hello Everyone,

On 5th June I entered into true adulthood turning the grand old age of 20. I had a really wonderful day and I have been utterly spoilt and I thought it might be fun to show you some of the wonderful presents I received from all the wonderful people in my life.

My main present from my parents was a new camera. Now that I have been blogging a while and know I am in this for the long haul I thought investing in a new camera would be a really great idea. I got the Nikon 1 J2, which is actually a discontinued camera as the J4 is coming out soon but we managed to find one on amazon. I love this thing! I am no photographer but this takes lovely pictures, it is easy to use and is basically everything I wanted, so I am ecstatic about this. From my parents I also got tickets to go see the Lion King at the theatre, I love the theatre so I am extremely excited to go and see this. I also got the bikini which you can see in the image above, I think this is absolutely adorable! and also the leaf print crop top which is a really beautiful shape. I also got a beautiful pandora ring from them. I now have three pandora rings, which I like to stack on each other.

From my boyfriend I got the clothes which you can see above (which I chose), some MAC vouchers, a teddy and he took me to Thorpe Park for the day on my birthday. This was a super fun day as I am an adrenaline junkie and I just absolutely love rollercoasters.

Two of my best friends bought me the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette which is absolutely stunning! I had been lusting after this for so long and boy oh boy is this gorgeous. One of my other best friends, Maquillage Magic, bought me a wax burner and some Yankee candle wax tarts as I am a candle addict and I just think that wax burners are a genius idea, they last so much longer than an average candle. I am currently burning Margarita lime, which is so zesty and summery. She also got me a bath bomb which smells incredible and I am saving that for a pamper evening. Another of my friends bought me this adorable star necklace from Estella Bartlett, this was such a sweet and thoughtful present and I haven't taken it off since.

From my other family and friends I mainly got vouchers and money which I am very much looking forward to spending. I am so grateful for all of the incredible presents I received and for these wonderful people in my life. I had such a lovely birthday and now I can start to get excited for my 21st!

Until next time,

The lipgloss that made me a lover

Hello Everyone,

I have always been of the general sentiment that lipglosses are a terrible invention that only serve the purpose of making your hair stick to your face...a look I am not a fan of.

Then more recently I have seen some of my favourite bloggers; who were of the same opinion as I, being turned into lipgloss lovers because of one particular product. So obviously I just had to test this out for myself.

Maybelline Colour Sensational High Shine Lipgloss in the shade Cashmere Rose.

This lip gloss is really pigmented and its a beautiful, shimmery but not too shimmery peachy nude. Their really isn't anything bad to say about it, it smells nice, it's not sticky and it looks great one its own or over a nude lip. I use this as part of my day to day makeup now usually over the top of Shy Girl by MAC and it is just beautiful.

Let me know if there are any lipglosses which you love as I would love to try out some more.

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

Sheinside Haul

Hello All,

Sheinside is massive throughout the blogosphere and it was something I had never heard of but after seeing a lot of posts about it, I thought I would give it a go as their clothes are super cheap and everyone said they were decent quality.

Firstly I got these lace shorts for £11.41. They are a one size fits all and they do actually fit me quite well. The lace at the bottom is really pretty and detailed, it looks really lovely.

Next I got this grid print shirt also for £11.41,which I thought would look really nice with the shorts. This is such a cute print and is bang on trend. It fits really nicely and I have already worn this one a few times, just tucked into mom jeans.

Lastly was this dupe of the Zara eye dress which I really wanted when it originally came out in Zara. This one however is half the price. Granted I was a little disappointed when it arrived as it isn't a great material unlike the Zara one which is silky. This one is a lot more stiff but on it still looks great!

So overall my first experience with Sheinside was pretty great. The have free worldwide shipping and I think it took about 10 days to get here which is quite good. I will definately be purchasing from them again seeing as I got all these things for under £30!

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

Life In Letters TAG

Hello All,

I am back again and this time with a rather exciting TAG and what I believe is my first one. One of my best friends and fellow blogger MaquillageMagic kindly tagged me for this and it was a little tough to pick just one thing I love for each letter of the alphabet but I managed it eventually!

American trashy TV, i.e. extreme couponing, real housewives, honey boo boo all that kind of stuff, I just think it is so entertaining to watch.

Black has got to be my favourite colour, boring I know but 80% of my wardrobe is black and its just classic.

Clothes clothes clothes I just can't get enough, shopping is my weakness.

Disney was such a huge part of my childhood, Aristocats is my favourite I basically watched it constantly on repeat, so much so I actually broke the video!

Elephants are my favourite animal, they are so intelligent and beautiful, it's my absolute dream to ride one.

Food, speaks for itself really, I'm a fatty.

Gal pals, I really to have the best friends, I'm sure everyone says that but they honestly are. I don't know what I would do without them.

Harry potter, I absolutely adore Harry Potter although embarrassingly I haven't ever read the books (my mission for this summer), but I am the proud owner of a Griffindor scarf.

Inception, I remember watching this film for the first time in the cinema and I was just absolutely hooked from start to finish, if you haven't watched it then you really need to.

Jewellery, what girl doesn't love an accessory? I love all jewellery particularly rings.

Kicks, yes I'm cool and calling shoes kicks (only because the S was taken) and I have too many pairs of shoes and they are too much of an addiction of mine for them to not be included in this tag.

Learning, I am such a nerd and I really do love to learn. I loved school so much and genuinely enjoyed it, I really do live by the motto 'you learn something new every day'.

Mumford & Sons have to be my favourite band ever. I went to see them last summer and just fell more in love, their music is so easy to listen to and I just think it is amazing.

Nose, I think this is my best asset. Everyone needs to love something about themselves and I don't know why but I just really like my nose haa.

The O.C the best show ever made, am I right? I can't even tell you how many times I have watched this series, it just never gets old.

Peonies are the prettiest flowers, definitely going to have these in my wedding bouquet if I ever get married.

Quote, "those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind", wise words Dr.Suess wise words.

RebeccaAnnBeauty, I know I have only been blogging for around 4/5months now but I do really enjoy it and it's my release and way of relaxing. I'm so shocked that there are 65 people who follow me and actually want to read this but I am thankful and I just hope that it can keep growing.

Sun, it is a common joke amongst my family that I am solar powered, whenever the sun is out I am a happier person.

Tea, just a nice cup of Tetley nothing fancy, just bog standard tea, I cannot get enough I drink so much of the stuff.

Urban outfitters, I recently have banned myself from going into this shop as it is on the pricier side but I just love it so much and spend so much money in there it's actually not healthy.

Vintage, I really love all things vintage, from clothes to cars I think they are so beautiful and I find it amazing how styles and fashions come back around.

Wanderlust, I really want to see the world and travel as much as possible. I haven't been many places yet but there are so many countries I want to visit, I love seeing other cultures and different ways of life.

Xmas, isn't it just everybodies favourite time of the year? I love playing board games with my family and watching Miracle on 34th Street.

Youtube, it is basically like my TV I watch it so much.

Zzzzz, sleep is my favourite past time, is that wierd? probably but I like to sleep a solid 8 hours every night and if I don't I get rather grumpy.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it, just something a little different and a chance to find out a little something about me.

It's my birthday this week which is very exciting but I should have another post up for you by Friday so keep your eyes peeled for that one! In the mean time follow me on Instagram and Twitter to see what I have been getting up to.

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.
