OOTD

Hello All,

I wore this the other day to go and see the wolf of wall street (incredible film!).

I love a gold jumper and the best place to find one is always a charity shop, I think this one cost me around £3 and I think it's absolutely beautiful. I have paired it with this skater skirt from Primark, which I got in the sale for just a fiver. I love the print of this and will be just as wearable in summer as it is now. It has really cute button detail at the front and is just a really lightweight cotton. Tights, an obvious must, seeing as its arctic outside. The skirt came with a skinny tan belt which went straight in the bin, and I have added this vintage gold buckled belt, also from a charity shop, which I think is beautiful and just really brings the outfit together. On my feet I am wearing my chunky heeled boots from River Island, to find out more check out my winter fashion favourites

My rings left to right: above knuckle ring - essential; oval return to tiffany - tiffany &co; stackable rings - pandora; above knuckle ring - topshop; green stone - camden lock market; infinity ring - online somewhere (was a gift).

I hope you guys enjoyed this kind of "granny chic" look!

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

Beauty Wishlist 2014

Hello All,

As a beauty lover there are products which I am lusting after, and these products here are at the top of my wishlist. I have seen endless reviews and bloggers expressing their love for these products all last year and hopefully I will get my hands on a few of them in the near future.

1. Naked 3 Palette - Urban Decay £37: This must have been the most anticipated product of 2013 and I want it so badly! I have never actually seen the palette in person, but from all of the blogs I have seen I know I love it. This palette has a beautiful rose gold feel to it and the shades are just stunning.

2. Flowerbomb eu de parfum 50ml - Viktor & Rolf £64.50: This perfume is hands down my favourite perfume of all time! As the name suggests its very floral and I have never smelt anything else like it. I have a bottle but it only has a few sprays left, very sad I know. I got two new perfumes for christmas so I am not in need of another bottle but I doubt that will stop me.

3. Sheer Glow Foundation - Nars £30.50: For a while now I have wanted to buy myself a high end foundation and from all the blogs I have read, this is the one that seems to come out on top. I have heard amazing things about it; it's a medium coverage foundation, with just the right amount of glow.

4. Dry Texturizing Spray - Oribe £38: This has been all over the blogosphere and it really intrigues me as to whether it's as amazing as people say, because for £38 I would expect miracles. People do seem to really love this and I would really like to try this but with that price tag I'm not too sure that I will.

5. Mud Mask 50g - GLAMGLOW £39.99: This is another lust product which I have seen every blogger rave about. This is supposedly a wonder product, especially for breakouts or oily skin both of which I suffer with. This looks like an amazing products, but its just so dinky for so much money. I realise that I sound really stingey, but all of these products are a big spend for one individual product, but at the same time are things I would love to try out.

6. Creme de Pistache Souffle Body Creme 300g  - Laura Mercier £43.50: WOW! I smelt this product around christmas and it is hands down the best damn thing I have ever smelt!! It is literally heavenly, I cannot express how amazing this is. I realise it sounds like I am exaggerating but I'm not; its that incredible. This is going to be top of my birthday wishlist for sure. I know it is expensive but it can be a nice treat to use on special occasions.

I hope you guys like this and if there are any products you are lusting after please let me know.

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

Winter Fashion Favourites

Hello All,

Winter is easily my favourite time of year for fashion. It means layers, layers and more layers; whats not to love?! I have chosen my favourite items of clothing, these are the ones which I turn to on a regular basis and couldn't live without.

The Coat

I am most definitely a coat person, if that is a real thing. I have a bit of a love affair with my coat collection. The newest edition to the family has been this b-e-a-utiful pink boyfriend style coat. The Topshop pink coat is the one that had my heart however I couldn't bring myself to spend £89, so when I found this little beauty from New Look at £55, I couldn't snatch it up quick enough. I am not particularly girly but there is just something about the pink coat trend that I love and since purchasing it, I have barely taken it off.

The Jumper

When I saw these jumpers I couldn't just pick up one. At just £10 each from Primark, I'm surprised I didn't pick up every colour they sold! These cropped jumpers have a beautiful high neck and fit wonderfully. They are fluffy/mohair material which is super soft and has been a must have trend for winter.

The Top

This was a very lovely christmas present from my boyfriend, which he chose himself (impressive eh?). It's from Urban Outfitters (my favourite shop) and it is a beautiful print. It is a really lovely fit and so easy to wear, it can be teamed with a pair of jeans or looks really lovely under a jumper as the collar is a cute peter pan style. I think this shirt is around £45, the price of most of their shirts, which is pricey but they are amazing quality and will be worn endlessly. I think this shirt is absolutely amazing and I have worn it a lot already.

The Dress

I got this dress from Miss Selfridge a little while back when they had 30% off so I think it was under £30, although I have worn it so much I would have paid more. It has a sheer white t-shirt under a strappy black silky swing dress. They are separates which means you could wear the dress alone or team it with something else, which I think is fab. This is so simple this makes it so wearable and versatile and will be lovely in the summer also.

The Skirt

I am completely on board with the tartan trend this winter. This skirt is a beautiful a-line shape with small little splits at the front. I love the colours of this and feel it is more wearable than red tartan. It's just £17.99 from New Look which I think is an absolute bargain. I bought this in a size 10, it fits but I would say it comes up a little smaller than expected.

The Trousers

These trousers...ow wow. They are well and truly the best things to ever join my wardrobe. I tried them on and loved them so so much!! They are £35 from River Island, which is quite expensive seeing as they aren't exactly something I can wear day to day but I am so glad to have them in my wardrobe and I knew I would have regretted it if I didn't buy them. The trousers also come with this belt which I surprisingly actually really like, I usually hate belts that come clothes.
The Shoes

I'm not sure these boots have left my feet since I got them. I really really really wanted a pair of Vegabonds but at £90 a pop, I was reluctant. I found these dupes in River Island for £38 and couldn't snatch them up them quick enough. They are the comfiest shoes of all time, I wear these babies all day and even with the heel they remain comfortable. I love the heel as it makes me a normal height (bit of a short arse really). I literally can't get enough of these boots and will wear them until they have holes in.

The Bag

This adorable leather backpack from New Look hasn't left my side since I got it. It has 3 zip compartments which provides enough space for me to keep all of my crap (I like to plan for every eventuality). This bag is simple and will go with any and every outfit. I have nothing bad to say about it and at £17.99, I think this is an absolute bargain.

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

Battle of the Foundations

Hello All,

These foundations are both drugstore and both around the same price, so I thought I would review and compare them to make it easier for you guys to make a choice if you are on the hunt for a new foundation.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - £10.99

I only bought this foundation recently, but it seems to be a product that virtually every beauty blogger  has and raves about so I thought I would give it a go. Admittedly the shade range is limited but for me this wasn't really an issue, although if you are particularly pale or dark skinned this could be an issue. I really like the feel of this; it glides over the skin beautifully and is buildable. It claims to be light coverage but I would say its more medium, which I like about it. Smells delicious too!!

No.7 Stay Perfect Foundation - £14

What drew me to this foundation was the colour match service that no.7 provide. They basically have a little machine which takes a picture of your skin to tell you which shade is right for you (pretty cool right?). I was told I was the shade deeply ivory and it is a good match, the only issue is that its quite pink. I have a red skintone as it is so yellow based foundations are best for me. Their shade range is one of the best for a drugstore foundation. This is a little fuller coverage than the healthy mix serum and does have good staying power.

Top swatch - Stay Perfect
Bottom swatch - Healthy Mix Serum

Overall I would say my personal preference is the Healthy Mix Serum. I think this is an absolutely beautiful foundation and I have really enjoyed using it. It gives just enough glow without making me look shiny and gives good amount of coverage.

I hope this was helpful,

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

OOTD

Hello All,

Thought I would bring you another outfit of the day, let me know what you think of it.

Firstly I best talk about the satchel, its kinda hard to miss. I'm not usually a lover of a lot of colour, the majority of my wardrobe is black and white. However I got this bag for my birthday and have used it frequently ever since. I love how it brightens up an outfit and just makes it so much more interesting.

My shirt is a very oversized lumberjack style shirt which I got from the Laines in Brighton for, I think, £3 (absolute bargain)! I love this effortless, messy kind of look and for a long day at Uni its perfect as it's so comfortable.

My leggings are black velvet from H&M. I love textures and this is why I wear these over normal leggings as I think they add a little something extra.

These shoes look a little scruffy now but I love them too much to care. They are the most adorable doll style shoes and cost just £12 from Primark, I think they look so much more expensive.

My hair is just in a tight top knot, mainly because it needs washing, however I actually really like this style. I am a fan of a dark lip, this particular one is "Dark Deed" by MAC which I believe was one of the limited edition christmas ones. It's a beautiful berry colour and obviously being MAC has fantastic staying power.

I hope you enjoyed this,

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

OOTD

Hello All,

Thought I would show you what I wore to university today, I think it's simple but stylish. It's also super cosy, which is important as it's absolutely FREEZING!!!

I am wearing a pair of old BDG jeans from urban outfitters which I recently ripped the knees on (DIY tutorial on how I did this to come soon!). I am so glad I did this as it has completely revived them and now I absolutely love them again. The jumper I bought yesterday in the Zara sale yesterday and was absolutely thrilled to find it. I have been looking for a turtle neck jumper for a while now and just couldn't find what I was looking for but this is exactly it! My coat is from Topshop and when I saw it I knew I had to have it in my life. It has been worn to death already and I couldn't be happier with it. The fur collar makes this so so warm, it is generally just my perfect coat. Finally there are my boots. I have a mild (extreme) obsession with shoes and these were easily my favourite purchase of 2013. I was desperate for a pair of Vegabond boots but at £90, I was reluctant to part with the money. I found these babies in River Island for £38 and they look very similar to the Vegabonds. They have been so comfortable, are a great height and all around everything I wanted in a pair of boots.

PEACE OUT! (Not even sure why I took this photo but I do find it amusing)
Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

Make-up haul

Hello all,

I thought it would be nice to share with you some of my recent beauty purchases. So lets skip the intro and get cracking.

I have been on the hunt for a new primer for quite some time and I had heard good things about the smashbox primers; they do several different primers to serve different purposes. I chose the "colour correcting adjust" photo finish primer.

As you can see this primer is green (yes green), and the purpose of this is to counter-act any redness. I have been using this primer for a few weeks now and I am really enjoying it. It has a velvety smooth feel and glides over the skin effortlessly. I wouldn't say its amazingly effective at counter-acting redness but its still a really lovely product. It costs £25 which is on the pricier side and I have tried the benefit pore-fessional and for a similar price, I would have to say I prefer it.

Secondly I got this little beauty. This was actually the present in my cracker for Christmas, significantly better than the average paperclip or pack of cards!!! This is the shade, "flat out fabulous" and I absolutely adore it!!! MAC lipsticks are absolutely amazing and have fantastic staying power. I highly recommend them, this one is matte and I really like the effect it gives.

Real Technique brushes are my absolute favourite brushes and I am starting to build quite the collection. This is the blush brush (apologies that it's dirty). I bought this brush as I started using my real techniques buffing brush for bronzer and then had no decent brush for my foundation, it was quite the predicament. Now I use this for my bronzer along with the real techniques contour brush. This is good for adding a natural looking glow and I really enjoy using it.

The most adorable name for a nail polish, I think I have ever heard.

I saw this and I just couldn't leave it on the shelf. Its a matte double ended nail polish. There is a black base and then a beautiful pastel orange end which is small for nail art. They have many different shades all of which have equally adorable school related names. It is very easy to use and gives you the chance to get a little creative.
